Taking Knowledge One Step Further
Welcome to Term 3 of Learning Leaps!

We have many new classes and programs to offer you this term, we hope you will find a class for your children to participate in.

We are particularly excited this year to be able to introduce the Learning Leaps High 5 Club, an after school extended day program for children in grades K-5 attending High Plain Elementary School.
The program runs from 3-5pm daily offering a little additional enrichment time for children at school. We hope that the High Plain parent community is as excited as we are to be able to provide this program as a part of Learning Leaps.

Thank you for your continued support and as always if you have any questions regarding the program or ideas for classes you would like to see as a part of Learning Leaps in the next school year please email Jai Mistry.

Program Info

Mission: The goal of the Learning Leaps Program at High Plain Elementary School is to provide students with before and after school programs intended to enrich, enhance and educate. While High Plain offers an outstanding educational program during the school day, Learning Leaps is intended to supplement those areas that will broaden the skills and knowledge that our parents and faculty have identified as critical for life long success. Offerings will include those familiar programs such as after school sports, arts, sciences, mathematics and clubs. The overarching goal is to keep our children's brains and bodies developing in a fun, engaging and inspiring environment of new learning opportunities.

Classes: Most classes will run on a three-term system, with fall, winter and spring offerings. Prior to the start of each term, a list of classes will be sent home for parents and students to review and make selections for registration.

Eligibility: Learning Leaps classes are open to all High Plain students. Each class description will indicate the number of students that class is able to accomodate, the appropriate age or grade level the class targets, and the specific meeting dates. All classes will be filled on a first come, first served, basis. A wait list will be created if necessary.

Timing: Unless otherwise noted, morning classes will be scheduled from 7:45-8:30 AM, and after school classes will be held from 3:00-4:00 PM. All classes will be held at High Plain Elementary School.

Tuition: Our commitment is to provide a high quality but affordable after-school enrichment program for your child. Class fees will vary based on program expense and materials.

Scholarships and Contributions: A limited number of scholarships will be available each term. If there is a child who is interested in attending a particular program and in need, please contact Pam Lathrop.

Get Involved: Parents and grandparents are welcome to get involved too! Learning Leaps welcomes anyone with knowledge to share in a fun way. We need your talent, experience, leadership and teaching participation! If you have a class idea, development suggestions or just want to share some thoughts on how to make this expanded learning program the most engaging inspiring and valuable that it can be for our children, please contact Jai Mistry.
